PPR (Pedagogy and Professional Responsibilities)
Required pedagogy exam for all Texas teacher certifications, EC–12.
The PPR (TExES 160) covers four pedagogy and professionalism domains:
- Designing instruction and assessment to promote student learning
- Creating a positive, productive classroom environment
- Implementing responsive, effective instruction and assessment
- Fulfilling professional roles and responsibilities
The exam is heavy on scenarios — case studies where you must apply pedagogical reasoning. Memorizing definitions isn’t enough; our study guide drills the application patterns.
